Rouge Waves

Coat: Tulle
Top: thrifted
Skirt: F21
Tights: Target
Shoes: Michael Kors

The colors in these pictures don't do this coat justice.. it's the prettiest shade of bright rouge red. It's been a staple fall outerwear of mine since it's an in-between seasons type of coat...not too heavy, but not light either. lovee it.

I'm so excited for Thanksgiving! looking forward to going back to Long Island to see my family, especially Migglefat, my pup. I'll be eating tons of tofurky tomorrow since I'm a vegetarian, and lots of side dishes as well. those are my favorite anyways. I'll most likely overdose on the desserts, though.

Sequin-induced shimmer chaos. I find myself becoming more and more addicted to them, especially as the festive season approaches.

Her life was saved by rock & roll

Coat: Vintage
Belt: H&M
Top: Vintage
Skirt: F21
Shoes: UO

When I found this white shaggy coat from a thrift store, I couldn't even believe it.. I had been looking for one of these for a good while now. I'm absolutely ecstatic over it, and it so much reminds me of the Almost Famous Jacket from Free People. sort of like the one Penny Lane wore in the movie, who looked extra rock-glamorous in it. The belt was added to hold the jacket together, since there aren't any buttons or clasps. I'm thinking I might sew one on, but keep it hidden? we'll see.

The best part about it, though, has to be the obnoxiously 60s orange psychedelic print lining.. gaudiness aside, I love it!!

oh, and I'm still on the hunt for a vintage leopard print jacket.. not sure why, but I want to have at least a few coats from this crazy era.

60 Feet Tall

Dress: Vintage
Cardigan: American Apparel
Shoes: JC
Beanie: Century 21

Given my rather, umm, smallish stature (I cringe at the words petite and short), the thought of wearing a maxi dress or any skirt longer than my knees freaked me out. I had original intentions of putting this dress in the store, but I sort of fell in love with it.. pretty typical! It's definitely a change from my usual attire of mini skirts and short length dresses, but I'm loving the boho-chic vibe. and I'm convinced that there's nothing 5 inch heels (particularly these Litas that I've obviously been living in lately) can't fix. Needless to say, I'll probably be purchasing more floor-length garments in the future.

Comfort Zone

My go-to outfit when I just want to be comfy - an oversized cardigan/sweater paired with tights or leggings..

of course completed with logical shoes and a beanie/hat of some sort, just to up the comfort factor.. you can't really go wrong.

Spirit Hoods

While I'm still in search of the perfect trapper hat/faux fur box hat for this winter (no luck yet), I'm in serious contemplation of purchasing one of these spirit hoods.. I can't get enough, they're just too cute, as strange/slightly creepy as they seem! The leopard one is especially to die for, but there's a whole slew of animals on their website.

I'm half glad they're way out of my hat budget, because I probably would of impulsively bought one by now.
..though I'll probably be the first to buy a cheaper knock off, should I come across one.

Empty lots

90s Floral Top: Salvation Army
Skrit: F21
Tights: Etsy
Shoes: JC
Bag: Vintage

The autumn colors, velvet floral print and sheerness of this blouse made me grab it without thinking at my Salvation Army, as obviously tacky 90s as it looks. The fall colors are fitting, and it even has that tinge of orange that I was looking for without being overwhelming. and these lace tights, they're my new favorite. I love how they give the illusion of disconnecting the top part of my leg from the bottom, giving it a broken doll-like effect.
