I'm not the biggest Doc Martens fan, but these are just too cute to put into a cohesive sentence. What a shame, since I was trying so hard to tone down my hello kitty/sanrio obsession. Then something like this comes along, and all thought processes divert me back to hello kitty mode...ugh. anyways, how cuuute are they?
oh and a huge thank you to Chictopia for putting me on their homepage! Thanks to everyone that voted! To say I was in shock would be an understatement. I was super stoked and honored! It's definitely my favorite fashion community, because everyone is just the nicest.

Top: Free People
Skirt: American Apparel
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell
My favorite combo lately is a maxi skirt with a crop top. I love the color of this skirt, and the fact that it's chiffon is even better..it has that vintage look to it, but the fit is more modern. I love the way it drapes.
It's been insanelyyy nice out lately! I'm so excited for the warmer weather. New York needs it, considering the brutal winter we just endured. I was ready to flee to Cali for a good while, no joke ;)

As (somewhat) dead and done as it is, I don't think I'll ever get sick of pairing a flowy girly dress with a leather jacket. It toughens up what can be an overly girly ensemble (which is cute too!), but I like to add edge. and you can't really tell I'm wearing it, but I've become weirdly obsessed with burgundy lipstick, because under certain shades of light it can look black.. which I just can't seem to fully pull off without looking like the bad kind of goth. . .
I'm really loving maxi dresses lately, mainly because the comfort level is just.. insanely high. especially sans tights. This dress is extra perfect, because its length doesn't have me tripping all over which happens more than I'd like to admit!

I may or may not cut off all my hair for the summer.. maybe a bob like this? we'll see. These are inspiration photos from the chaotic Doom Generation. A twisted flick, but the dialogue/film stills are weirdly entertaining and I just love it!
